Rev. Drew Smith – Senior Pastor
Drew has been Pastor at College Hill Presbyterian since 2007 where he considers it a real joy to journey with a multicultural community helping one another live for Jesus. Drew grew up in Vestavia Hills, a suburb south of Birmingham, Alabama. While a student in Mrs. Steps’ Third-grade class, he met a fellow student, Cathy Pritchard. It was not love at first sight but eventually did lead to marriage in 1987 and continues today having produced three children – Hannah, Clara and Nate.
Drew thought he was going to work in medicine as a biomedical engineer but God re-directed his path into full-time ministry with Young Life (a high school ministry) and then Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois just north of Chicago. He has pastored in three other churches: Oxford Presbyterian, Oxford, PA (1991 – 1993); Westminster Presbyterian, Charlotte, NC (1993 – 2001); and Central Presbyterian, Mobile, AL (2001- 2006). He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Urban Ministry Leadership at North Park Seminary in Chicago.
On a perfect day, Drew, with friends and family, would be enjoying hot tea (preferably Darjeeling) with homemade buttermilk biscuits and local honey followed by some reading and hiking. The afternoon would include ice tea (preferably half sweet/half unsweet) with homegrown tomato salad followed by an afternoon of water skiing. Then as the sun set, the fish would be on the grill with some long-sliced zucchini and yellow squash. The evening would conclude on the porch, overlooking the lake enjoying some of grandma’s banana pudding. What a wonderful day.

Rev. Dennis Hall – Assistant Pastor for Community Life
Dennis is the Assistant Pastor for Community Life. But more importantly, he is the beloved of the Father, the BFF of Jesus and a Worshipper. Dennis has two callings that feed his passion and calling in Christ. The first is Discipleship, equipping the body to operate in the beauty and fullness of their calling and purpose. The second is ministering in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment being a bridge between ethnic groups and cultures. Dennis believes the church is to reflect the Kingdom of God as seen in Revelation 7:9 where John gets a glimpse of the nations of the earth gathered around the Throne of God. The redeemed mosaic of humanity is God’s greatest reflection of Himself on the earth. Dennis has been given the ministry of reconciliation in every facet of Kingdom life.
Dennis is a recent transplant to Cincinnati coming from his most recent assignment Concord Church a 10,000 member congregation in Dallas, Texas. While at Concord Dennis served as The Senior Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries overseeing all the Adult Ministries including Discipleship and Outreach. Prior to Concord, Dennis served as Senior Pastor for nearly 11 years at Briar Creek Road Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC fondly called The Creek. Dennis being the first African American Senior Pastor in the history of the church, led the transition from a traditional predominantly white congregation to an Outreach focused multi-ethnic International congregation.
Dennis has a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Illinois and a M.A.T.S. in New Testament from Gordon Conwell Seminary. Dennis also studied for an academic year at Stirling University, Scotland. Dennis is married to Sharon Louise and they have 4 children: Joshua David, Caleb Mandela, Lydia Louise and Noah Adam.

Mike is a native Cincinnatian but moved from St. Louis to start at CHPC in January of 2017. He grew up at CHPC as a child and young adult and even served on staff several times as a youth intern. For five years he worked across town at Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church as the Director of Student Ministries. After his time in Madeira, he moved to St. Louis to attend Covenant Theological Seminary and worked at Church of the Resurrection (Anglican) as the Director of Contemporary Worship and Outreach. He holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership and an M.Div.
While in St. Louis he started dating another native Cincinnati who eventually became his wife. Mike and Susan are both passionate about the city of Cincinnati and anticipate planting a church in the city together. In addition to their shared ministry interest, they both love reading, going for walks, coffee (bordering on snobbery), cooking (and eating), and are quite fond of their two cats! Shannon Caton – Director of 3C’s Nursery School
Shannon grew up in Youngstown Ohio, but came to the University of Cincinnati for college. While in college she received degrees in elementary education, psychology, and a masters in education. She also met her husband Eric while in College. She started her teaching career in 1999 at Chase Elementary in Northside, and then was at St Clare School until it was closed. Always teaching 3rd grade or higher she never anticipated working at a preschool. However, in 2006 St. Clare closed its doors and several people told her she should interview for 3C’s. She walked across the parking lot and fell in love with the community! She spent 6 years teaching PK/K, and is now been the director for 3 years. During her time at 3C’s she has had 3 bio children and has adopted one child. All the children enjoyed their time at 3C’s! She is very much in love with the Christ-centered community and has seen the people within grow and take Christ outside the walls. She hopes to be here for many more years! Shannon enjoys walking, reading, writing, and driving her 4 kids places.

Michelle Hemsath – Scheduling and Hospitality
Michelle has lived in Cincinnati all her life except for going away to college at Rio Grande.
Michelle is married to Andy, they have 2 children Tori and Alex. They live in College Hill and love the central local location to the city and unique restaurants close by. They appreciate the community feel that you do not get to experience many other places.
She has been working at CHPC since 2001, when she started bringing Tori to preschool at 3c’s. Michelle has been able to be involved in many different ministries over the years; childcare, treehouse, care & counseling, facilities and the pastor’s office. The only two ministries she has not directly involved with is worship & arts and communications. Currently her role at the church is hospitality & scheduling. She feels very strongly about being warm & welcoming to anyone who enters the CHPC doors. One of her many favorite Bible verses has to do with hospitality. “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it”. Hebrews 13:2.
Michelle loves being outdoors, admiring God’s artwork, playing sports and reading.

Robyn Hubbuch – Director of Children, Youth, and Family
Robyn grew up in Cincinnati and at CHPC, where she enjoyed being involved in the children, youth and family ministry by attending youth group, camps, and mission trips, and then serving as a camp counselor, youth intern, and camp director. After graduating from Colerain High School, she moved to Spokane, Washington and earned a BA in Theology at Whitworth University. She served as a youth intern and interim youth director at Colbert Presbyterian Church in Spokane, until God led her back to Cincinnati and to CHPC. She has been on staff at CHPC since 2014, and she loves leading a diverse group of children, youth and families at the church and in the College Hill neighborhood to connect with one another and to become disciples of Jesus who make disciples.
In her free time, Robyn loves hiking, reading, rock climbing, snowboarding, doing jigsaw puzzles, and hanging out with her sweet but slightly neurotic long-haired chihuahua Milo.

Heather Lethander – Finance and Human Resources
Heather Lethander is originally from Bay Village, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland which is where she met her husband, Charlie when he moved into the community in the 6th grade. She spied him in band class (he played drums, she played clarinet). They began dating in the 11th grade, and were married just after college. They have two sons, Eric and Matthew, who are both “adulting” now. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like either one will land permanently in Cincinnati.
Heather and Charlie joined, CHPC in 1989 and have loved the people and the vision of the church even as it has changed over the years. Heather received a BS degree in Organizational Communication and Industrial Psychology (which is what they used to call HR) from Purdue University and worked for Fifth Third Bank until she “retired” to raise the kids. She was excited to have a second career opportunity at the church in 2015.
When not working, Heather loves to cook and travel. She frequently is trying out new recipes on her friends and family. It’s too bad she doesn’t really love to exercise with all that food around! She and Charlie travel around the world, and especially love cruises!

Favorite movie you may ask? Spaceballs. Yes, Spaceballs! — “You are looking at now sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.” ”
“You are looking at now sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.” “What happened to then?” “We passed then”. “When?” “Just now. We are at now now.” “Go back to then.” “When?” “Now.” “Now?” Now.” “I can’t.” “Why?” “We missed it”. “When?” “Just now.” “When will then be now?” “Soon.” “HOW SOON?”
Sam Routzon – Media Producer & Worship Team Leader
Sam is a native of the Greater Cincinnati area. Hailing originally from Newport, but currently residing in the charming river community of Bellevue, KY. She is a HUGE Reds and Bengals fan.
Sam is a graduate of the Vineyard Leadership Institute (VLI), a 21-month program of Biblical studies, theology and hands-on ministry. One of the tenets of the Vineyard movement is, “Everybody gets to play.” She believes every Christ follower has a role to play in “His-story.” Whether you’re opening the door for someone, preaching the sermon, teaching the children or running slides on Sunday mornings (yes, this is a shameless plug for volunteers) each task is important and necessary.
Most Sundays you’ll see Sam running around making sure everyone has what they need and/or playing percussion or leading the music in the 2nd service. She is a worshipper at heart and loves to lead God’s people to worship in spirit and in truth.
Favorite food: meat and potatoes
Favorite musical: Wicked (ask her how many times she’s seen it)
