Adult Spiritual Formation
The current series of Adult Spiritual Formation classes will wrap up in July and a new class called Growing Young: Strategies to Help Young People will begin on Sunday, August 5 at 10:00. As a follow-up to the previous workshop called the Engaging Young Adults in the Ministry at CHPC, Tom and Robin Riechel will lead a discussion class for three weeks on August 5, 12 and 19. Each week will cover different topics. The class will discuss the book Growing Young: Six Essential Strategies to Help Young People Discover and Love Your Church by Kara Powell, Jake Mulder and Brad Griffin (Written from the Fuller Youth Institute Research of over 250 churches effectively reaching young adults). Each chapter of the book offers practical ideas to engage young adults. Please come and help us discern which strategies may work at CHPC.
Pastor Drew will be hosting a Tuesday night Bible study at 7pm at church on the book of Mark throughout the summer.
The annual College Hill Block Party will be Tuesday, Aug. 7th! We need your help to make it happen. Sign up at www.chpc.org/register to get involved! See Charolett Phoenix for more information.
DONATIONS NEEDED: Please bring cases of water to the front desk. Checks (to CHPC, Block Party in the memo) are also appreciated. Thanks!
