Our traditional worship service taps into the rich history of music, arts, and liturgy from around the world and throughout the 2,000-year history of the church. The music at this service is ordinarily performed by our choir and accompanied by either piano or organ. On special occasions, there will also be brass, strings, and woodwind instruments to accompany the choir. The service typically lasts one hour.
The traditional service at 9 am offers hymns sung by a choir and accompanied by piano, organ, and occasional woodwinds, brass, percussion, and strings. The contemporary service at 11:00 is mostly newer music led by a band of guitar, piano, bass, drums, and occasionally a few other instruments. The non-musical elements of the two services sometimes vary with the earlier service tending towards a more formal worship and the later service typically providing a more casual atmosphere.
