Newest Staff Members at CHPC:
 Karen Johnson Assistant Pastor of Worship and Witness | One of the questions that I was asked early on in the interview for the position at CHPC was, “How do you feel about leaving California?” I answered honestly that, “I LOVE California, but my commitment is to wherever God is leading me.” In truth, when I graduated from seminary a few months ago, I was sure that God was going to allow me to remain in the land of perpetual sun, beaches, and mountains. As it turns out, as is so often the case, He had other plans. When I visited CHPC a short time ago, something pricked my heart and I sensed that this was the place that God was calling me. Now I am anxiously and excitedly making plans to join with you in ministry. I look forward to building relationships with the members and attenders of CHPC, as well as with the surrounding community. In the meantime, I do hope that you will be thinking and praying about how God desires to use your gifts in service to Him for the work of the ministry. Blessings, Karen |
