God's Justice is Pure

This past Sunday, we explored the beauty of God's wrath that leads to celebration, not sorrow. Our immediate response to the words God's wrath is fear and trepidation, but God's wrath is right and just because God is pure and good. God's judgments are perfect. Click here to watch the sermon. God will destroy all that is evil once and for all - even its memory. All who are in Christ have been made pure by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. As Revelation describes, the Lamb who was slain has satisfied the righteous judgment of God on our behalf. God's judgments are just. His justice is pure. At the end of time, we will see the fullness of God's justice completed, and we will say, "God is perfectly good." Our human judgments are always tainted and impure, but in the end, we will experience perfect justice. Take 7 minutes to watch this video that describes God's justice.
Because we know God's justice prevails, we seek to act according to his justice today and participate in God's eternal plan. This is why Micah reminds us to do justice. "What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." (vs 6:8) Even though our justice is incomplete, let's seek to be just in all we do today and glorify God.
Grace and Peace,
Drew
