Whiz Kids

College Hill Presbyterian Church is thrilled to offer Whiz Kids Tutoring at CHPC this year. Whiz Kids provides a high-quality, faith-filled academic support to elementary students in our community through one-on-one mentoring, discipleship , and fun!

Program Features:

  • 1-on-1 Tutoring: Every student is matched with a caring adult who is consistent and committed.
  • Snack Provided: Fuel for learning and connection.
  • Supplies Included: Thanks to the generosity of CHPC covenant partners, all materials are covered.
  • Faith Formation: A core part of each session includes time for discipleship, character-building, and prayer.

Whiz Kids is made possible through our partnership with City Gospel Mission and the faithful support from scholarships by our CHPC family. Whether it’s at church or in the classroom, Whiz Kids continues to be a life-changing program for both students and volunteers.

Interested in Becoming a Whiz Kids Tutor?

We are currently recruiting committed Christian volunteers to serve as Whiz Kids tutors at CHPC.

Tutors are needed Tuesdays from 2:15-3:45 PM (Afternoon session) or 5-6 PM (Evening session), beginning in October and continuing through April. Volunteers must love working with children, be able to assist with reading and basic math, and be willing to complete a free background check to ensure student safety.

No teaching experience is required just a heart to serve, encourage, and empower students both academically and spiritually.
"Even after kids get just a little bit of extra attention, I can see a difference in their attitudes and their behavior."
