Jesus told us in Matthew 28:16-20 that we have a mission to complete - make disciples! He said that we make disciples by baptizing others in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and by teaching one another to obey everything that Jesus taught us. So, once a week during this Messenger series, I'll send out a chapter of the Scriptures that contains some of Jesus' teachings, because you can't obey what you don't know or remember. 

We will start with the first chapter in the famous Sermon on the Mount - Matthew 5. As you read this a couple of times, ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind how you can obey Jesus' words in your own life. Come back to this passage several times during the next 4 days to review if you had an opportunity to follow his directions and for the next day, pray that the Spirit will give you further opportunities to do what Jesus says.
