New Sermon Series September 7-November 23 More Than Mine: Time, Treasure, Talents, and Tik-Tok One of the first words we learn is “Mine.” And then as Jesus followers, we spend the rest of our lives trying to unlearn that natural self-centered tendency. We know that nothing we have is ours. Even our very breath is a gift from God. He has given us the gift of life and teaches us how best to live it. This Fall we will learn from God and help one another expand our plans, hopes, and dreams for life beyond “Mine” to God’s. What guidance does God's word offer about treasure, time, talents, and even Tik-Tok? |

Forever Young Senior Lunch & Program - Weds, Sept 10 (12-2pm) Explore the history of College Hill, which earned its name with the establishment of the Farmers’ College and the Ohio Female College. These institutions attracted talented, artistic, and reform-minded leaders including active supporters of the Underground Railroad. By the Civil War era, Cincinnati’s industrialists began locating their estates in the neighborhood to escape the pollution of the city, and some grand homes and stories came to the neighborhood. Ed Loyd lives in a historic home in College Hill and is president of the College Hill Historical Society. He has had a varied career from public service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture to working in public relations and corporate communications at a number of companies headquartered in Cincinnati – Chiquita, Fifth Third and currently P&G. Ed is an advisory board member of the Cincinnati Museum Center, and frequently lectures on local history. Cost: $10 Register here |

Orchestra - Rehearsals on Thursdays 5:45pm Praise Him with the Sounding Trumpet, Strings and Pipe! It’s almost time to begin rehearsals for our CHPC orchestra. Members and friends of our congregation play at the Traditional 9 am Service one Sunday per month from September through May. Rehearsals are three Thursdays a month from 5:45 to 6:45 in the Contemporary Worship Space. Players are high school age (not beginners) and older. Has it been awhile since you played? That also describes many of our orchestra members, and they have enjoyed getting backing into playing. If this sounds like something you would enjoy too, contact Penny at (513)319-0304 or bpsauer89@gmail.com. **All instruments are welcome, but we are currently in particular need of violins, cellos and trombones. |
