All are invited to attend our End-of-the-Year Prayer Gathering at the CHPC Fellowship Hall on Wed., December 31, 2025, from 7-8 pm. It will be a time to thank God for his faithful love & blessings during 2025, and to seek His guidance, strength, & joy for 2026. As one church body with diverse expressions of worship and prayer, we are coming together to honor God and focus on different prayer topics and engage with various types of prayer shown in scripture. There will be personal, quiet times and interactive corporate prayer times to encourage our self and each other to commune with God daily. Let us express our hearts and commune with God in this special hour of worship, confession, & praying the scripture. Please click the link for more information.
Our format will be to pray on four themes in 15 mins-segments each over the hour gathering:
- Adoration
- Response and Confession
- Requests
- Praise and Declarations
Each prayer and worship segment will have a prayer focus or topics with related scriptures to integrate during your prayer time, alongside your individual prayers. You may choose to pray alone or gather with a few friends or family members if you are at home or out of the area during the gathering time. You may also want to stream or play worship songs softly during prayers or interspersed within the prayer hour. Please see below the list of prayer focus topics listed below each theme.
Adoration:
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name…”
Prayer Focus/Topics
- Praising God for His attributes/character
- Offering thanks for what he has done
- Not asking for anything at this time, just worshipping who He is

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven…”
Prayer Focus/Topics
- Worshipful response to who God is
- Acknowledge God’s power and wisdom
- Admit our need & desire to surrender to God’s will vs. our own
- Confess grumblings, fear, and anxieties, lack of repentance and dependence, repent of any deliberate sins & unconscious sins, for honoring our self-will, self-sufficiency, & disobedient hearts instead of honoring His heart of love, mercy, peace, & fruits of the Spirit
- Listen & be still internally, allowing God’s Spirit to speak; then offer devotion/obedience
Requests:
“Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
Prayer Focus/Topics
- Offering requests in accordance with God’s will
- Passionate, effectual petitions of personal needs
- Pray for the community (public safety, unhoused, families/children, city leaders etc.)
- Declarations of confident hope and faith in the God alone, not specific outcomes

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
