Local Outreach

Found House/IHN

Found House IHN began on October 26, 1991 as Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati (IHNGC), with a Day Center, and eight congregations who opened up the doors of their churches and synagogues to homeless families. Congregations provide overnight shelter and meals for homeless families in our Emergency Shelter program.

CHPC provides housing four weeks during the year to 4-5 families. Members of the congregation provide meals and companionship while the families are at the church.

Alpha

What is Alpha?

You’re invited to explore life’s big questions. Alpha is a place to explore the Christian faith with others. It’s a series of conversations focused on the questions of life, faith, and meaning. Each session includes a time to connect with others, hear a talk on some element of faith, and then a chance for people to share their own questions and perspectives with the group. Alpha follows a 10-week cycle with a weekend experience between week 7 and 8. Want more information?

Swim Ministry

The Goal of the CHPC Swim Ministry is to equip students for what the American Red Cross describes as ‘survival’ swimming. An integral part of such survival is being relaxed and confident in the water so that swimming is fun. Our focus is not on speed or beautiful swimming. We prepare students for a lifetime relationship with water, including the Living Water, Jesus Christ…the rest will follow.

Reading Tutor

Whiz Kids Tutoring is a ministry providing fourth through sixth graders at Pleasant Hill Academy with caring adults to tutor them in reading and basic math, help them with homework, and model Christian character.

Ballet Ministry

Our goal is to make ballet accessible and affordable for the families we serve. Through instruction and mentoring, we help girls build character, self-esteem, discipline, and a love of dance. We also strive to connect our families to Jesus and to CHPC.

Global Outreach

Global Outreach

Jesus commanded his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28.19) so that people “from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Rev 5.9Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) will one day worship joyfully before His throne.

College Hill Presbyterian Church supports cross-cultural Christian workers around the world. Though their cultural contexts and ways of serving differ widely, they all share one goal: to bring the love of God through Jesus Christ in both word and deed to people who don’t yet know of God’s redeeming love for them.

Most of our global workers have been sent out directly from CHPC, and all keep in touch regularly. We support them with finances, friendship, and prayer. When they visit Cincinnati, look for them in services, and join us for a time to hear more detailed information on their work, and pray with and for them.

Mission Trips

Members of the congregation have the opportunity to travel internationally on an annual Mission Trip. Participants raise their own support to fund the cost of the trip as part of the mission experience.
